Recent News
I received a Wallace Stegner Fellowship in Poetry at Stanford University for the 2012-2014 academic years. Congrats to my fellow poets Chris Kempf, Hugh Martin, Jacques Rancourt, and Solmaz Sharif. I’m thrilled to be in your company.
My first book manuscript The Opposite of Robot is Light was recently a finalist or semi-finalist in 2012 for The Cleveland State University Book Prize, The Colorado Poetry Prize, The Akron Poetry Prize, The Felix Pollack/ Brittingham Prizes, and Crab Orchard Open Competition.
I was a semi-finalist for the 2012 Discovery/ Boston Review Award. Biggest congrats to all the winners, especially my friend Rebecca Hazelton! You can read her amazing poem here.
